The deck was scraped and cleaned prior to applying the new coat of paint. The results speak for themselves. A fresh coat of paint can do wonders for the esthetic appeal of a residence, as well as protection from the harsh Maine weather.
Speaking of weather, this project was one that required a multi-day window of dry weather to complete. One for the wood to dry, the day of application, and a 24-hour period after application to allow the paint to fully cure. That has been a tall order this year, with rain occurring on an almost daily basis. A special thank you to the homeowner, Darlene, for the flexibility in scheduling the completion of this project.
